Leather Dye, Conditioning, Restoring & Repair Disclaimer

  • Color: In repair we make an attempt to match the original color as close as possible. One must understand we do not have the original measurements, so this process is not exact. We match the color from an inside panel, which normally has little or no color loss. The color will be new and possibly more vibrant than the old exposed colors. It is possible that it will not be exact, but it will be very close.
  • Sheen: In repair we make an attempt to match the original sheen as close as possible. One must understand we do not have the original measurements, so this process is not exact. We match the sheen from an inside panel, which normally has little or no sheen loss. The sheen will be new and possibly duller to slightly shinier than the old exposed sheen. Our goal is placing a sheen that will age to match the current sheen. It is possible that it will not be exact, but it will be very close.
  • Repairs: are just that… repairs. We cannot guarantee invisibility of repairs, but we use exacting standards to make them as close to invisible as possible.
  • Nubuck Resurfacing: In this process it is possible that we may not be able to remove all of the stains. We are also removing a layer of the surface, and the color may alter slightly from the current color.
  • Urine Damage Salvage Attempt: This requires precision extraction of the area. The removal attempt may also flush some of the color, as the urine has destabilized the dye. The longer the urine sets the less the chance of removal. Urine can actually completely rot leather out. If you can smell ammonia, chances are it’s rotting.
  • Water & Oil Based Stains on Aniline and Nubuck: We can extract the oil, but many times the oil has displaced the dye and it will appear blotchy after the extraction process. Water based stains create a new color because of the dye migrations; most often these can be permanent.
  • Normally cleaning & conditioning is 2-4 weeks & repairs 4-6 weeks.

I have read and understand the above conditions of repair.
